January Swim Lessons

Owen and Max both took swim lessons. The lessons were every Monday and Wednesday night.

Owen is becoming a very good swimmer. He loves going underwater and jumpin into the water.


Max only had one other little girl in her class. He really made a lot of improvement.

Aunt Marge's Visit

My mom's sister flew to Colorado from Minnesota for a quick visit.

Marge met Ian for the first time. One of her 3 grandsons is only a month younger than Ian.


The same weekend that Aunt Marge visited, Owen also had a birthday party to attend. Since the party was at an indoor play area, my twin sister Bev and her family came down to see Marge and to celebrate my mom's birthday.


Aunt Bev surprised my boys with Mario shirts. Owen, Max and Matthew loved having matching shirts.


Ian waited with the grown ups while we waited for the kids to finish their playing.

Ian's Chores

Ian loves to help with the dishes. Anytime he hears us open the dishwasher, he comes crawling as fast as he possibly can.

We attempted to teach him how to unload the the dishwasher...... but.....


Here is Ian putting away a plate. He thinks it is good idea to slide the plate under the bathroom door.

Our bottom drawer never seems to stay very organized.

Owen's Birthday Party

Owen decided to have his birthday party at a swimming pool. He invited his cousins and about ten friends.


It is a warm water pool, so the adults did not mind joining the kids.

The kids really enjoyed jumping into the pool. Here is Owen jumping.


As usual, cousin Sarah was the only girl.

Gingerbread Man

The boys have always loved reading different versions of the story, The Gingerbread Man. We checked this one out at the library. It had a recipe for Gingerbread cookies in the back, so we decided to make a BIG Gingerbread Man.

Usually I loose the boys about 1/4 of the way into any cooking projects. But this time, the boys actually stayed with me and helped.


I told the boys to be super careful when they looked in the oven. They like the part in the story where the little boy peeks in the oven and the Gingerbread Man jumps out.

Rocky

Max slipped and fell on some ice and scratched his eye. Mom was very scared. Luckily, Uncle Brad was there to say that everything was okay. He said that all little boys need to have a scar or two. Then he started calling him, "Rocky".


Max and Ian really do love each other. We are just working with Max on how to hold and hug Ian.

Owen is 6 years old!

Daddy had to work the night of Owen's birthday, so Grandma and Grandpa brought over a cake to help us celebrate. Owen did get to spend the whole morning with Dad before he had to goto kindergarten.


The boys are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents!
