Amazing Jakes- Rides

We spent most of Sunday at Amazing Jakes in Aurora. Check out amazingjakes.com

Dad rode the train with the boys.

Owen was one of the train engineers.

Owen was very excited to try out the climbing wall. He did a very good job.

Max and Dad driving Bumper Cars.

Mom and the boys riding the Frog Hopper! This ride was the boys favorite ride.

This was very similar to the famous teacups at Disneyland. Mom did not like this ride very much.

Dad rode the roller coaster with Owen and Max.

Dad had the chance to ride the Frog Hopper too.

Road Trip Pics

Ian had to take his naps in the car.

Max is ready to get out of the car at one of our many stops.

Owen left his hood on while we were driving. When he took off his hood, he had this beautiful creation of a hair-do.

Hotel Time

Over President's Day weekend, we stayed at an Embassy Suites in Denver. The boys were amazed. They loved the glass elevators, the garden "Jungle" in the courtyard, the swimming pool, the hot tub and the awesome complimentary breakfast.

Mom and dad enjoyed all of the above as well the free "2 hour" happy hour that the hotel has every evening in the courtyard.

Here is a zoomed picture of Kim and Ian from the 7th floor of the hotel.

The boys enjoying granola bars and watching tv after our evening swim.

Here is a picture of Ian and I from the 7th floor that is not zoomed in.

Bass Pro Outlet

We took the boys to the Bass Pro Outlet store. It is huge. The boys enjoyed seeing aquariums full of fish and lots of "stuffed" animals. The boys enjoyed posing with dad for this picture.

Sitting on the 4 wheelers was a big hit

Ian loved anything that involved being out of the stroller. The boys also had a chance to get in about 10 boats that were on display.

Max is pretending to drive a gator.

Max's Preschool Program

On the day after Valentine's day, Max had his big preschool program.

Mom was on the program committee, so she had to be there early. Here are mom and Max before they left for the program.

Here are all 5 classes of preschoolers. Max is the cute one in the front row. He is the 4th one over from the left side of the picture.

Max was very excited to wear his new tie.

Ian kept himself busy playing with books and toys on the floor.

Fritz turns 34!!

Dad's birthday is the day before Valentine's Day. To celebrate, we all ate at the Rock Bottom Brewery. Before bedtime, we put candles on a piece of the cake that Max helped make during the day with his babysitter, Kendra.

Dad had a little help blowing out his candles.

The boys and I bought dad a remote control helicopter called an Air Hog. The boys were so excited for dad to open it and play with it.

Ian didn't know what to think.

Jar Jar Binks

My co-worker Wendy gave me this chair. Ian loves crawling in and out of the chair.

Enjoying the Warm Weather

Owen and Max enjoyed playing with neighbors Caleb and Hayden on a rather warm day in February.

Max, Ian and Owen enjoying some time in the backyard.

Denver Museum of Natural History

The day before the Superbowl, we decided to make a family trek to Denver to visit the museum. The boys had a lot of fun. We met up with our Castle Rock cousins at the museum, but I did not get pictures of our boys with Tom, Matthew and Nicholas.

Owen is experimenting with air flow in the Kid Zone.

Ian enjoyed some time out of his stroller playing in a pit with foam blocks.

Mom captured this cool picture of Owen's bubble.

Max and Ian enjoyed time putting together puzzles.

"Ian's got the whole World and Mars in his hands..."

While Owen and Max went to see a show at the Planetarium, mom and Ian strolled around other parts of the museum. Ian had some pretty big eyes when he was looking at the animals in the display cases.

Here is Ian enjoying a snack with a pack of hungry wolves.

Ian eating a Cow

Ian enjoys playing with the soft toy cow that Dad and Max got at the Farm Show.

We do not give Ian bowls or plates very often because they either end up on his head or on the floor.

Sick Days

The boys are usually very healthy, but this winter has been very hard on us. Here is a picture of our sick ward. The boys enjoy bringing their blankets and pillows from their room to the great room.

Here is a picture from above. They are probably watching their 20th episode of The Magic School Bus.

Treasure Box

As a fun little painting-craft activity, we went to Hobby Lobby to let the boys pick out bird houses to paint. They saw these treasure boxes and that was the end of the bird houses. I guess all of the pretend play with their pirate ships got the best of them.

Do I detect a bit of frustration?
